Hi, I’m Yuting!
I am a research assistant in the School of Data and Information Sciences at UNC–Chapel Hill, working with Franklin Mingzhe Li. Previously, I was a predoctoral researcher in Georgia Tech’s School of Interactive Computing (2025–2026), advised by Shaowen Bardzell in the ESCape Lab.
I study how technology can support people before diagnosis, during care, and through recovery, both inside healthcare institutions and in everyday settings beyond the healthcare system. I am particularly interested in the needs and experiences of marginalized and vulnerable populations.
I hold an MA in Global Communication from CUHK’s School of Journalism and Communication and a BA in Network and New Media from Sichuan University’s College of Literature and Journalism.
I am seeking PhD opportunities for Fall 2027.
